RETURNS & REFUNDS

At House of Kutch, each object is approached with care and offered as a collectible expression of craft, materiality, heritage, and storytelling. Many of our works are handcrafted, one-of-one, limited-edition, or created through processes that naturally carry uniqueness and variation.

This policy outlines our position on returns, refunds, cancellations, and transit-related concerns.


1. NO RETURNS POLICY

As many House of Kutch works are collectible, handcrafted, one-of-one, limited-edition, ready collectible objects, or made through artisan-led processes, we do not accept returns.

We kindly request customers to review product descriptions, dimensions, materials, and images carefully before placing an order.


2. ELIGIBLE REFUND CASES

Refunds may only be considered in the following situations:

  • The item received was damaged in transit
  • An incorrect item was received
  • An order was accepted and paid for but could not be fulfilled by House of Kutch

All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

As many works are limited or one-of-one, replacement of the exact product may not be possible.

Where a refund is approved, House of Kutch reserves the right to determine the appropriate resolution.


3. TRANSIT DAMAGE OR INCORRECT ITEM

In the event of:

  • Transit damage, or
  • Receipt of an incorrect item

customers must notify us within 48 hours of delivery by writing to:

Please include:

  • Order number
  • Clear photographs of the product and packaging
  • Supporting details regarding the issue

We strongly recommend recording an unboxing video for ease of process in case of transit-related concerns, as it helps us work more efficiently with our courier and logistics partners while reviewing claims.

Claims raised after 48 hours of delivery may not be accepted.


4. NON-REFUNDABLE SITUATIONS

Refunds or claims may not be accepted in cases involving:

  • Personal preference or change of mind
  • Minor handcrafted variations in finish, texture, polish, carving, colour, embroidery, grain, patina, tone, or detailing
  • Natural material inconsistencies
  • Slight differences caused by photography, lighting, or screen display variations
  • Delayed claims beyond the reporting timeline
  • Damage caused after delivery due to improper handling, storage, moisture, environmental exposure, or customer misuse

As handmade and material-led works naturally vary, minor differences should be understood as part of the authenticity and character of the object and shall not be treated as defects.


5. REFUND PROCESSING

Where refunds are approved, they shall be processed to the original payment method used during purchase.

Refund timelines are generally:

Approximately 7–10 business days

In rare circumstances, slight delays may occur due to technical processing at payment gateway providers, banking systems, or payment partners.


6. ORDER CANCELLATION

Most House of Kutch works available on the website are ready-to-ship collectible objects.

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement, provided the order has not entered dispatch, packaging, or production preparation.

Please note:

The following cannot be cancelled once preparation, production, finishing, or dispatch processing has begun:

  • Handmade works
  • Made-to-order products
  • Bespoke or commissioned works
  • One-of-one creations
  • Limited-edition objects

Once an order has been shipped, cancellation shall not be possible.
