Overview
This decorative handcarved teakwood plate draws inspiration from the local woodcarving traditions of Kutch and is handcarved by local artisans in collaboration with House of Kutch’s ongoing material and design explorations.
Made from a single piece of teak wood, each plate celebrates the beauty of material and handcraft, allowing the natural grain, carving marks, and quiet imperfections of the wood to remain visible. Rooted in local carving traditions and shaped through observation and exploration, every piece carries traces of place, process, and craft.
At House of Kutch, we study material traditions and handcrafted practices across the region, translating fragments of these observations into collectible objects. Produced in small and limited batches, future pieces may continue to evolve in form and carving as the journey unfolds.
Material & Care
Single-piece teak wood with handcarved detailing, finished with a natural oil and wax polish.
To care for your piece, keep it away from direct moisture and prolonged sunlight. Gently wipe with a soft dry cloth and avoid water, chemicals, or abrasive cleaners. Like all natural wood, it may age gracefully over time.

Returns & Transit
As each piece is a unique original, we do not accept returns. In the event of transit damage, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with supporting photographs and we will resolve it promptly.
